CHAPTER 11
VISHWARUPA-DARSANA YOGA
Chapter 11 of the Bhagavad Gita is known as the "Vishwarupa Darshana Yoga," which translates to the "Yoga of the Vision of the Universal Form." This chapter is a profound and awe-inspiring revelation given by Lord Krishna to Arjuna. In this chapter, Arjuna asks Lord Krishna to reveal his divine form, wanting to see the true nature of the universe. Lord Krishna grants Arjuna divine sight, allowing him to perceive the vast and magnificent cosmic form of the universe.
As Arjuna beholds this wondrous sight, he sees an unimaginable display of divine power and cosmic manifestations. He witnesses the entire universe contained within the form of Lord Krishna, with countless celestial beings, gods, and cosmic wonders. Arjuna is overwhelmed by the grandeur and magnitude of what he sees. He sees the past, present, and future unfolding simultaneously within the divine form of Lord Krishna. He sees the cycles of creation and destruction, the birth and death of all living beings, and the cosmic dance of time. Through this vision, Arjuna gains a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of all things and the eternal nature of the universe. He realizes the divine presence permeating every aspect of creation, and he is filled with reverence and devotion for Lord Krishna.
