Some among the celestial gods enter you with fear, while some extol you with joined palms, saying 'May it be well!' The great sages and perfected beings praise you with elaborate hymns of praise.
Lesson:
Krishna describes how some celestial deities approach him with reverence and fear. These gods, though powerful in their own right, recognize Krishna's supreme authority and bow before him with folded hands. Their response reflects a sense of humility and acknowledgment of Krishna's divine sovereignty. On the other hand, Krishna explains that great sages and perfected beings offer praise and adoration to him. These enlightened souls, who have attained spiritual wisdom through deep contemplation and practice, express their reverence for Krishna through elaborate hymns and chants. Their worship is characterized by profound devotion and an understanding of Krishna's divine nature.
The verse portrays the diverse ways in which beings perceive and interact with the divine. While some approach Krishna with fear and awe, others approach him with love and devotion. Regardless of their individual responses, all beings ultimately recognize Krishna's supreme authority and transcendental glory.
Through this verse, Krishna emphasizes the universal nature of devotion and worship. He reveals that beings from all realms, celestial and earthly, acknowledge his divine presence and offer their respects in accordance with their understanding and spiritual evolution.
Moreover, the verse highlights the importance of humility and reverence in approaching the divine. Whether one is a celestial deity or a realized sage, the proper attitude towards the supreme lord is one of surrender and devotion. By acknowledging Krishna's greatness and offering heartfelt praise, beings align themselves with the divine will and experience spiritual upliftment.
In essence, this verse conveys the profound truth that the path to divine realization is open to all beings, regardless of their celestial status or spiritual attainment. It serves as a reminder of the universal nature of devotion and the transformative power of surrendering to the divine will.
