Being freed from attachment, fear, and anger, being fully absorbed in Me and taking refuge in Me, many, many persons in the past became purified by knowledge of Me - and thus they all attained transcendental love for Me.

Lesson:

Krishna elucidates the qualities of those who have attained a purified state and developed deep devotion to Him. He emphasizes the importance of relinquishing attachment, fear, and anger, as these emotions bind individuals to the material world and impede spiritual progress. True spiritual advancement requires transcending these worldly emotions and redirecting one's focus entirely on the Divine. By being fully absorbed in Krishna and seeking refuge in Him, individuals can experience inner peace and spiritual fulfillment. Surrendering wholeheartedly to Krishna entails trusting in His divine guidance and relying on His protection and grace. Through sincere devotion and surrender, one can find solace and liberation from the sufferings of the material realm.

Lord Krishna further explains that those who pursue the path of knowledge and austerity with devotion to Him become purified. By cultivating a deep understanding of Krishna's teachings and practicing spiritual disciplines, individuals develop a profound love for the Lord. This transcendental love surpasses mundane attachments and brings about a state of divine bliss and union with the Supreme. The verse underscores the transformative power of devotion to Krishna, leading to purification of the heart, liberation from worldly bondage, and the attainment of divine love and communion with the Supreme Being.
