Nirāśīryatacittātmā tyaktasarvaparigrahaḥ |
Śārīraṁ kevalaṁ karma kurvannāpnoti kibhiṣam ||

A person who is without expectation, with a mind detached, who has renounced all possessions, and performs only bodily duties, incurs no sin.

Lesson:

This verse tells us how it's important to do our duties without thinking about what we'll get in return. It talks about Karma Yoga, where we do things without being too attached to what happens next. The word "Nirāśī" means not wanting anything in return. People who follow this path do their work calmly, without worrying if they'll succeed or fail. They've let go of wanting things like money or possessions because they know these things don't last forever. Instead of doing things for themselves, they focus on doing what they're supposed to do without thinking about what they'll get out of it.

This verse teaches us about selfless actions, where we care more about why we're doing something than what we'll get from it. It tells us to do our duties well but not to get too caught up in the results. Instead, we should offer the results of our actions to a higher power and focus on finding peace inside ourselves. This way of living helps us grow spiritually and break free from the cycle of good and bad things that happen because of our actions.
