One who sees Me everywhere and sees everything in Me, I am never lost to them, nor are they ever lost to Me.
Lesson:
There are few characteristics of a true yogi who is established in unity consciousness and sees the divine presence in all beings and phenomena. Krishna states that the yogi who perceives the Supreme Being (Me) present in all living beings (sarvabhūtasthitam) and recognizes the underlying oneness of all existence (ekatvamāsthitaḥ) is truly connected to Him. Such a yogi views the entire universe as a manifestation of the divine and experiences a profound sense of unity and interconnectedness with all creation.
The essence of yoga lies in recognizing the inherent divinity within oneself and in all living beings. By cultivating a deep sense of unity consciousness, the yogi transcends the illusion of separateness and realizes the underlying unity of all existence. This awareness transforms their perception of the world, allowing them to see the divine presence everywhere and in everything.
Furthermore, Krishna assures that the yogi who abides in this state of consciousness is always connected to Him (mayi vartate). Regardless of the circumstances or challenges they may face, the yogi remains steadfast in their devotion to the divine presence within and around them. Similarly, Krishna affirms that He is never lost to such a yogi, indicating the inseparable bond between the individual soul and the Supreme Soul.
This verse emphasizes the importance of cultivating a spiritual vision that transcends dualities and recognizes the underlying unity of all creation. It encourages practitioners to cultivate a deep sense of interconnectedness and reverence for all life forms, thereby fostering harmony, compassion, and love in their interactions with the world. Ultimately, by seeing the divine presence everywhere and in everything, the yogi experiences a profound sense of peace, fulfilment, and union with the Supreme.
