प्राप्य पुण्यकृतां लोकानुषित्वा शाश्वती: समा: |
शुचीनां श्रीमतां गेहे योगभ्रष्टोऽभिजायते || 6.41 ||
Prāpya puṇya-kṛitāṁ lokān uṣhitvā śhāśhvatīḥ samāḥ।
śhuchīnāṁ śhrīmatāṁ gehe yoga-bhraṣhṭo 'bhijāyate॥
Attaining the worlds of the righteous and dwelling there for countless years, one who falls from yoga is born into a family of the pure and prosperous.
Lesson:
It is important to understand the destiny of someone who has embarked on the path of spiritual practice but has faltered along the way, known as a yoga-bhraṣhṭa. Despite their deviation, the individual still reaps the rewards of their virtuous actions by attaining the heavenly realms reserved for the righteous. There, they dwell for an extended period, enjoying the bliss and rewards of their good deeds. However, their fall from the path of yoga is not the end of their journey. Instead, they are granted another opportunity for spiritual growth. Lord Krishna assures that such a soul will be born into a family characterized by purity and prosperity in their next life.
This auspicious birth provides them with a conducive environment for continuing their pursuit of spiritual realization. By being born into such a family, the individual is afforded favourable circumstances and resources to advance on their spiritual path. This verse emphasizes the cyclical nature of spiritual evolution, highlighting that setbacks are not permanent obstacles but opportunities for growth and eventual redemption. Through this explanation, Lord Krishna underscores the importance of perseverance and determination in the pursuit of spiritual goals, reassuring seekers that even if they stumble, they can still progress towards higher states of consciousness in subsequent lifetimes.
