Abu Abbas, born Muhammad Zaidan, was a Palestinian politician and leader of the Palestine Liberation Front (PLF). He was involved in numerous militant activities, including the hijacking of the Achille Lauro cruise ship in 1985. Abbas' actions made him a controversial figure in the Palestinian liberation movement and the broader geopolitical landscape. Despite his militant past, he later renounced violence and participated in peace negotiations. His life reflects the complexities of the Palestinian struggle for statehood and the broader Middle Eastern conflict.
