Anne Hutchinson was an American religious leader and activist in the early colonial period. She is known for her role in the Antinomian Controversy in Massachusetts, where she challenged the established religious authorities and advocated for a more personal interpretation of faith. Hutchinson's actions contributed to the development of religious freedom and diversity in early America.
