Bert Kalmar was an American lyricist and songwriter, best known for his collaborations with composer Harry Ruby. Together, they wrote numerous popular songs and Broadway musicals in the early 20th century, including hits like "Three Little Words" and "Who's Sorry Now?" Kalmar's clever lyrics and ability to capture the spirit of the times made him a significant figure in American music and theatre. His work continues to be celebrated for its contribution to the Great American Songbook and the development of musical comedy.
