Harry Hay was an American LGBT rights activist and a co-founder of the Mattachine Society, one of the earliest LGBTQ organizations in the United States. His advocacy for LGBTQ rights and social justice was pioneering, and he played a significant role in the early gay rights movement. Hay's efforts contributed to the visibility and progress of LGBTQ issues in American society.
