Hippocrates, often referred to as the "Father of Medicine," was a Greek physician who lived during the Classical period of ancient Greece. He is credited with laying the foundation for modern medicine through his ethical standards, known as the Hippocratic Oath, and his systematic approach to diagnosing and treating diseases. Hippocrates' emphasis on observation, diagnosis, and treatment in a scientific manner has influenced medical practice for centuries and remains relevant today.
