Joseph Ratzinger, also known as Pope Benedict XVI, was born on April 16, 1927, in Germany. He served as the Pope from 2005 until his resignation in 2013. Ratzinger was known for his theological expertise and conservative views within the Catholic Church. Before becoming Pope, he held various positions within the church, including Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. His papacy focused on issues such as faith, morality, and interfaith dialogue. Ratzinger's contributions to theology and the church have left a lasting impact on Catholicism.
