Karen Carpenter was an American musician born on March 2, 1950. She was the lead singer of the popular duo The Carpenters, known for their soft rock sound and hits like "Close to You" and "We've Only Just Begun." Karen's beautiful voice and harmonies made her a beloved figure in music. Sadly, she passed away at a young age, but her music continues to resonate with fans around the world.
