Leon Czolgosz was an American criminal born on September 4, 1873. He is best known for assassinating President William McKinley in 1901. Czolgosz was motivated by his beliefs in anarchism and social justice. After the assassination, he was arrested, tried, and convicted, ultimately being executed in the electric chair. His actions had significant political implications and sparked discussions about security and the treatment of political dissenters in the United States.
