Lord Kelvin, born William Thomson on June 26, 1824, was an Irish scientist known for his work in physics and engineering. He is best known for developing the absolute temperature scale, now known as the Kelvin scale. Lord Kelvin made significant contributions to thermodynamics and electrical engineering, and his work has had a lasting impact on science and technology. He was also a prominent figure in the scientific community and received numerous awards for his achievements.
