Lynette Fromme, born on February 22, 1948, is an American criminal known for her association with Charles Manson and the Manson Family. She gained notoriety in 1975 when she attempted to assassinate President Gerald Ford in Sacramento, California. Fromme was arrested and later convicted for her actions, receiving a life sentence. Her case drew significant media attention, highlighting the influence of Manson's cult and the social upheaval of the 1960s and 1970s. After serving time, she was released on parole in 2009.
