Martha Washington was the first First Lady of the United States, born on June 2, 1731. She was the wife of George Washington, the first President of the United States. Martha played a significant role in supporting her husband during the American Revolutionary War and in his presidency. She is remembered for her contributions to the early years of the nation and her dedication to her family and community.
