Maurice Maeterlinck was a Belgian playwright, poet, and essayist, recognized for his Symbolist dramas, including "The Blue Bird" and "Pell�as and M�lisande." His work is known for its exploration of themes related to mysticism, existentialism, and the human condition. Maeterlinck's innovative approach to theater earned him the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1911.
