Melita Norwood was a British civil servant and spy who worked for the Soviet Union during the Cold War. Known as the "granny spy," Norwood was involved in espionage activities that included passing confidential information to the KGB. Her revelations and eventual exposure as a spy in the late 1990s brought significant attention to her covert activities and their impact on international relations.
