Rod Steiger was an American actor born on April 14, 1925. He gained recognition for his intense and gritty performances in films like On the Waterfront and In the Heat of the Night, for which he won an Academy Award. Steiger was known for his method acting approach and his ability to fully immerse himself in his roles. Throughout his career, he collaborated with renowned directors and co-stars, cementing his status as one of the most respected actors of his generation. Steiger passed away in 2002, but his legacy as a talented and influential performer lives on.
