Ruth Brown was an American musician born on January 12, 1928. She is known for her powerful voice and contributions to rhythm and blues music. Brown's hits in the 1950s, including "Mama, He Treats Your Daughter Mean," helped shape the genre and earned her the title "Miss Rhythm." She received several awards throughout her career and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Ruth's influence on music continues to be celebrated, and she is remembered as a pioneer in the R&B genre.
