Sid Vicious, born John Simon Ritchie on May 10, 1957, was an English musician known as the bassist for the punk rock band Sex Pistols. Despite his short career, Vicious became an iconic figure in the punk movement, known for his aggressive stage presence and controversial behavior. His turbulent personal life and untimely death at the age of 21 contributed to his legendary status as a symbol of the punk ethos. Although his musical contributions were limited, Sid Vicious remains an influential figure in the history of punk rock.
