Stephen Bayne was an American bishop born in 1908. He served as the Bishop of Spokane from 1960 to 1970 and was known for his progressive views and commitment to social justice. Bayne worked to promote racial equality and to address issues of poverty and inequality within the Episcopal Church. He was also involved in international affairs, serving as the Executive Officer of the Anglican Communion from 1959 to 1969.
