Stephen Stills is an American musician born on January 3, 1945. He is best known as a founding member of the bands Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills & Nash. Stills's guitar playing and songwriting have been influential in the folk rock and country rock genres. He has had a successful solo career in addition to his work with various groups, releasing several acclaimed albums. Stills's contributions to popular music have been recognized through his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of both Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills & Nash.
