Steve Cropper is an American musician and songwriter born on October 21, 1941. He is best known as a guitarist and a founding member of the Stax Records house band, Booker T. & the MG's. Cropper has contributed to many classic hits, including "Dock of the Bay" and "Green Onions." His work has had a lasting influence on soul and rock music, and he continues to be active in the music industry.
