Walt Kelly was an American cartoonist born on August 25, 1913. He is best known for creating the comic strip Pogo, which featured a cast of anthropomorphic animals and provided social commentary on politics and society. Kelly's humor and artistic style made Pogo a beloved feature in newspapers. His contributions to the world of comics have left a lasting impact, and he is remembered as a pioneer in the field. Walt Kelly passed away on October 18, 1973.
