Yitzhak Shamir was an Israeli statesman born on October 15, 1915. He served as the Prime Minister of Israel from 1983 to 1984 and again from 1986 to 1992. Shamir was a member of the Likud party and was known for his strong stance on security and defense issues. He played a significant role in Israeli politics during a time of conflict and negotiation. Shamir's leadership was marked by his commitment to Israeli sovereignty and his involvement in peace talks with neighboring countries. He passed away on June 30, 2019.
